Internet Explorer 9 / Internet Explorer 10 “Native HTML5″ Claim

Reading the Register today, Microsoft have made a claim that Internet Explorer 9 and the new Internet Explorer 10 support Native HTML5 when running on the Windows platform (i.e. Windows 7 operating system), which everyone on the web knows is a load of marketing rubbish – HTML is not supposed to be native, the web is open and HTML5 can be and will be supported by all browsers.

But this makes me laugh, because if you go to www.html5test.com in Chrome 3, you get a fairly good rating of 288 out of 400. Still a way to go, but good nonetheless. Well, lets put it this way, its better than the result I got from Internet Explorer 9, apparently running Native HTML5 on Windows 7, with a score of 130 out of 400.

Surely there is something wrong there with Microsofts claim?
