This is purely an example of how the internet becomes quite useful when it comes to getting the best price.
I have a new camcorder and I need a new memory card for it. Nothing special, a class 10 8GB SDHC card.
The first place I check is Currys as there is one just up the road. So, I find the Samsung Class 10 Plus SDHC 8GB card. Now, many think “Wow, look at that! £34.99 down to £12.99, that’s a good £22 off!”. I think, hmmm, this is the usual retailers trick into hiking the price up for a period of time and then claiming a big saving.

A bit out of the ordinary this blog, but it’s a scam that could catch anyone out because it looks like a genuine interest in a product you have for sale.
Basically, I was selling a game on Ebay, and I got an e-mail through that was from a Simon Roud, and it went something like this:

I’m very interested in the eBay item you have for sale.
Please take a look over and let me know if the item is still available:
